Smoke Detectors
It is the landlord's legal responsibility to provide and maintain adequate and working smoke detectors.
We can arrange a licenced smoke alarm tester on your behalf or you can attend our inspections and maintain them yourself. Note: there are strict rules about smoke detectors that must be met by landlords.
Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT)
In the event that your tenant does not meet their responsibilities it may be necessary to go to VCAT. Investors Choice does not charge for its time in these matters, but landlords do have to cover the costs associated with a VCAT application and the purchase of a warrant.
